COVID-19 Small Business Resources

PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) loans (EXTENDED To August 8th): There is still over $100 Billion dollars in funding available for this program. Here is the information from the US Treasury Department on these small business relief loans. Please see below for banks/fintechs that are still accepting applications.

UPDATE ON PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM FLEXIBILITY ACT (PPPFA)

On June 5, 2020, the Paycheck Protection Program Flexibility Act (PPPFA) was signed into law. This new legislation makes some material changes to Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans for existing and prospective borrowers. The PPPFA is primarily aimed to provide borrowers additional time to qualify for forgiveness (now 24 weeks) and decrease the percentage of the forgivable loan proceeds which must be used for payroll costs (now 60%). Here is the bill to review and feel free to schedule a 30 minute business consultation for additional questions, see above.

PPP Loan Forgiveness Application Form: If you’ve fully utilized your PPP funds after your 8 week period, here is the loan forgiveness application form that you can start to complete. However, do know that based on the recently passed Flexibility Act (see above), the 8 week payroll period can be extended to 24 weeks or up until 12/31/2020, whichever comes first, should you wish to extend your PPP loan forgiveness period.

EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan) online application: https://covid19relief.sba.gov/#/ The SBA has now REOPENED the EIDL loan applications and loan advance for ALL industries. Please apply using the above link.

  • Please be reminded any funds that you receive under the EIDL loan advance is completely forgiveable, and will be deducted from the forgiveable portion of your PPP loan, if you had also applied for that as well. For example, if your PPP loan forgiveness comes out to 20,000 and you get an EIDL loan advance of 5,000, then the forgiveable portion of your PPP will be 15,000 and the rest will remain as a loan at the PPP loan terms of 5 years and 1% interest.

  • EIDL Funds are more lenient when it comes to what you utilize the funds for vs. the PPP is strictly for payroll, rent, mortgage interest, and utilities.

Small Business Administration: The SBA is here to help you overcome the challenges you have incurred due to the health crisis. Take a look at the various Coronavirus Relief Options and other SBA loan offerings. The current or new SBA 7a and 504 loans are also available to apply for and 6 months of principal and interest will be paid by the SBA, if applied for prior to Sept. 27, 2020.
